About the position

The Senior iOS Engineer for the Developer Platform at Airbnb will be a key member of the iOS infrastructure team, responsible for enhancing the development environment for iOS engineers. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to improve continuous integration processes and contribute to foundational frameworks that impact millions of users. The position offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to drive significant improvements in the iOS development experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design & implement changes to improve iOS continuous integration.
• Collaborate with iOS engineers across Airbnb to provide support and guidance.
• Participate in all phases of software development from architecture/design through implementation, testing, and on-call duties.
• Drive strategy for continuous integration using a data-driven approach.
• Contribute to various technologies including Swift, Xcode, Bazel, Buildkite, Terraform, Ruby, and SQL.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years experience with iOS/macOS infrastructure including build, CI, app release, and developing runtime frameworks.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects with autonomy and self-direction.
• Ability to think critically and use data to identify opportunities and prioritize projects.
• Motivated to improve productivity and experience for team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with CI infrastructure is a plus but not required.
