About the position

The position is for a motivated engineer within Apple's Location Technologies group, focusing on enhancing proximity capabilities and creating innovative location-aware experiences. Responsibilities

• Support existing proximity capabilities and create new ones.
• Solve challenging technical problems related to location technologies.
• Communicate and promote ideas effectively within the team.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle from concept to production.
• Develop and improve iOS applications and tools for continuous integration, data analysis, and visualization.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience as a software developer on mobile or embedded platforms.
• Proficiency in modern object-oriented programming languages such as C++ or Swift.
• Experience with wireless technologies for ranging, location, and sensing.
• Comfortable scripting and developing in Unix-like systems.
• Ability to write, debug, and profile software in modern C++ and/or Swift.
• Experience navigating large codebases and refactoring legacy code.

• Background in Bluetooth Low Energy, WiFi, GNSS.
