About the position

The Senior IAM Product Analyst (Certificate Services) at HCA Healthcare plays a crucial role in supporting large, complex, and distributed Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, with a specific focus on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM). This position is responsible for documenting and providing solutions for Certificate Services-related issues while efficiently escalating advanced problems to the appropriate team resources. The analyst will work continuously to enhance how business owners utilize HCA's PKI and CLM platforms, aiming to reduce risk and improve certificate lifecycle processes. In this role, the Senior IAM Product Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to implement and support digital certificate solutions that align with organizational needs and goals. The position requires a high degree of self-motivation, excellent communication, documentation, and relationship-building skills. The analyst will work closely with the Information Protection and Security (IPS) department to implement and support technologies that achieve HCA's cybersecurity objectives. The responsibilities include maintaining processes and reports to track Certificate Lifecycle, providing documented educational materials for Certificate Owners, updating and maintaining the HCA certificate inventory, and contributing to discussions related to Certificate Automation and Lifecycle. The analyst will also assist with triaging Certificate Services incidents and requests, maintaining documentation of relevant policies and procedures, and monitoring Certificate Services Server Infrastructure. Timely and accurate reporting of issues and status to leadership is essential, as is participation in a collaborative environment that encourages information sharing and team-based solutions. The analyst will coordinate improvement efforts and engage with vendors as needed, serving as a Certificate Services analyst on various projects while adhering to the organization's Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain processes and reports to track Certificate Lifecycle.
  • Provide documented education materials targeted at Certificate Owners.
  • Update and maintain HCA certificate inventory (CMDB, Venafi).
  • Update and maintain Service Central Knowledgebase articles to support management of digital certificates.
  • Contribute to discussions related to and in support of Certificate Automation and Lifecycle.
  • Assist with triage of Certificate Services Incidents and requests.
  • Maintain documentation covering the relevant policy and procedures of Certificate Services and supporting tools.
  • Assist with monitoring Certificate Services Server Infrastructure and ensuring appropriate response.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of issues and status to leadership.
  • Participate in an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based solutions, cross-training, to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and service excellence.
  • Coordinate improvement efforts; follow-up and follow through to ensure that operating changes result in expected improvements; report on results of implemented improvements.
  • Maintain PKI /CLM Solution Documentation.
  • Meet with corporate, division and facility-level leadership teams, as needed, relating to new certificate initiatives or issues.
  • Engage with vendors as needed.
  • Serve as Certificate Services analyst on projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems.
  • Two or more years in an analyst role.
  • Five or more years in Identity and Access Management or Information Technology.
  • CISSP certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Foundational knowledge of Windows Active Directory Certificate Services, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and digital certificate components and generation processes.
  • Foundational knowledge of Certificate Lifecycle Preferred inventory and management with HCA CLM platform - Venafi.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Google Cloud Identity platforms.
  • Experience in core IAM technologies (federation, directory services, etc.).
