About the position

The Senior Implementation Conversion Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the RowePrice Migration project by developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications. This remote position requires a strong technical background and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure successful software utilization and conversion processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using COBOL, JCL, Omni, DB2 SQL.
• Manage and schedule jobs on Linux systems, ensuring efficient and timely execution.
• Create and optimize scripts to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide effective technical solutions.
• Perform detailed testing, debugging, and quality assurance tasks to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance of applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues as they arise, providing timely support to meet project and operational deadlines.
• Document code, processes, and project details for reference and future maintenance.
• Gather forms and data files from customers through data analysis, product mapping, and interviews to assess requirements for software utilization and discuss any software customization requirements with the programming team.
• Create data maps and transaction workflow documents showing how every field of information will be converted; share data maps with programmers, clients, and others to ensure successful conversion and refine mapping through iterative validation with clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
• Advanced expertise in Omni, JCL, COBOL, Linux, job scheduling, scripting, and DB2 SQL.
• Strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience in job scheduling and performance optimization within Linux environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Micro Focus COBOL or similar COBOL environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in testing and quality assurance practices.
• Knowledge of retirement services and/or financial services industry standards and practices.
