About the position

ANR Group Inc is seeking a Senior Implementation Manager to join our team in Richland, WA. This role is critical in ensuring the successful implementation of projects within the nuclear and regulated industrial environments. The Senior Implementation Manager will be responsible for reviewing key project documentation to identify strategies for improving schedule performance, enhancing quality, and optimizing resource utilization. This includes a thorough examination of project schedules, implementation methods, risk registers, quality control inspections, and budget estimates. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be adept at identifying errors and misconceptions that could hinder project success. In this position, the Senior Implementation Manager will validate the quality of all Work Order Tasks (WOT) associated with their assigned scope prior to field activities, ensuring compliance with Columbia work management processes. They will also be responsible for remediating any identified WOTs that lack quality or contain errors. The role requires a proactive approach to reviewing and improving testing and acceptance plans, as well as identifying activities that would benefit from mock-ups. The Senior Implementation Manager will communicate personal operating experiences and develop response strategies for project activities, serving as a key resource for project teams. The governance aspect of this role involves maintaining a broad knowledge base of relevant codes, standards, and innovative technologies. The Senior Implementation Manager will provide timely feedback to project managers and department management on all aspects of project strategy and implementation plans. They will also oversee shop or field activities, ensuring that they progress according to the approved project strategy and providing coaching as necessary. This position may require oversight of crews exceeding 50 individuals and attendance at key strategy meetings with project managers. Overall, the Senior Implementation Manager plays a vital role in coordinating resources, collaborating with vendors, and ensuring that roadblocks are identified and removed to facilitate project success. Responsibilities

  • Review key project documentation to identify strategies for improving schedule performance and resource utilization.
  • Validate the quality of all Work Order Tasks (WOT) associated with assigned scope prior to field activities.
  • Remediate identified WOTs that lack quality or contain errors.
  • Review and improve testing and acceptance plans for various project phases.
  • Identify activities that would benefit from mock-ups and provide guidance on their effectiveness.
  • Communicate personal Operating Experience and develop response strategies for project activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of codes, standards, and innovative technologies relevant to the projects.
  • Provide feedback to Project Managers and Department Management on project strategies and implementation plans.
  • Oversee shop or field activities to ensure compliance with project strategies and provide coaching as needed.
  • Attend key strategy meetings with Project Managers to facilitate project success.

Requirements

  • Advanced (graduate) degree in a related field and 10 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment.
  • Associate's degree and 14 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 16 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment.
  • Skilled in Enterprise Management Software (Asset Suite, SAP, etc.).
  • Familiar with logic-driven schedules generated by Primavera and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of code and regulatory requirements related to maintenance and field work activities.
  • Experience with error reduction and human performance improvement methods.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience in construction management.
  • Experience in multiple refueling outages at a commercial nuclear power plant.
  • Familiarity with production and operational processes at a commercial nuclear power plant.
  • Experience with feedwater heaters and their internals.
  • Experience with steam systems and ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel code vessels.
