About the position

ANR Group Inc is seeking a Senior Implementation Manager to join our team in Richland, WA. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful implementation of projects within the nuclear and regulated industrial environments. The Senior Implementation Manager will be responsible for reviewing key project documentation to identify strategies for improving schedule performance, enhancing quality, and optimizing resource utilization. This includes a thorough examination of project schedules, implementation methods, risk registers, work orders, quality control inspections, and various other technical documents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and be adept at identifying errors or misconceptions that could hinder project success. In this role, the Senior Implementation Manager will validate the quality of all Work Order Tasks (WOT) associated with their assigned scope prior to field activities, ensuring compliance with Columbia work management processes. They will also be responsible for reviewing and improving testing and acceptance plans, identifying activities that would benefit from mock-ups, and communicating personal operating experiences to develop effective response strategies. The position requires maintaining a broad knowledge base of relevant codes, standards, and innovative technologies, as well as providing timely feedback to project managers and department management on project strategies and implementation plans. The Senior Implementation Manager will also oversee shop or field activities, ensuring that they progress according to the approved project strategy. This may involve providing coaching to teams and serving as the designated person in charge of project activities during shifts opposite the Project Manager. The role requires coordination with vendor resources to identify and remove roadblocks, as well as attendance at key strategy meetings to ensure alignment and effective communication across project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Review key project documentation to identify strategies for improving schedule performance and resource utilization.

  • Identify activities that would benefit from mock-ups and provide guidance on their effectiveness.
  • Communicate personal Operating Experience and develop response strategies for project activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of codes, standards, and innovative technologies related to Enterprise Risk Projects.
  • Provide feedback to Project Managers and Department Management on project strategies and implementation plans.
  • Oversee shop or field activities to ensure compliance with project strategies.
  • Serve as the designated person in charge of project activities on shifts opposite the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate resources and collaborate with vendor resources to remove roadblocks.

Requirements

  • Advanced (graduate) degree in a related field and 10 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment.
  • Associate's degree and 14 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 16 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment.
  • Background in civil or mechanical discipline.
  • Skilled in Enterprise Management Software (Asset Suite, SAP, etc.).
  • Familiar with logic-driven schedules generated by Primavera and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of code and regulatory requirements related to maintenance and field work activities.
  • Experience with error reduction and human performance improvement methods.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience in construction management.
  • Experience in multiple refueling outages at a commercial nuclear power plant.
  • Familiarity with production and operational processes at a commercial nuclear power plant.
  • Experience with feedwater heaters and internals of feedwater heaters.
  • Experience with steam systems and ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel code vessels.
