About the position
The Senior In-Vehicle Infotainment User Experience (UX) Engineer at Honda is responsible for defining and developing infotainment solutions that meet customer needs while ensuring competitiveness and quality. This role involves conducting user research, leading market studies, and mentoring junior engineers. The engineer will work on multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on Connected Autonomous Shared Electrification (C.A.S.E.) technologies.
Responsibilities
- Identify and initiate modifications to or new infotainment solutions based on customer and market expectations.
- Analyze user research data to understand customer needs and desires for infotainment systems.
- Propose and lead market research and user studies to ensure competitiveness in infotainment features.
- Lead the creation of new feature and user interface specifications.
- Verify the correct implementation of specifications on test setups and vehicles.
- Mentor newer associates in best practices and lead other engineers on projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Industrial Design, UX Design, Engineering, Psychology, or Product Development.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience in user-centered research.
- Experience with product benchmarking.
- Proficiency in GUI prototyping tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Axure, or Kanzi.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to produce presentation documents.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design principles.
