About the position

The Senior Industrial Automation Engineer at Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is responsible for providing automation and system integration engineering services primarily in the manufacturing and power generation sectors. This role involves programming devices, configuring network switches, developing logic diagrams and electrical drawings, and conducting technical reviews of drawings and device settings. The position may offer remote or hybrid work options for candidates with extensive experience in industrial automation or process control.

Responsibilities

• Provide Automation & System Integration engineering services in manufacturing and power generation industries.
• Program devices such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Configure network switches and develop logic diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Configure Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
• Conduct technical reviews of drawings and device settings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET), or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSMET), or other degrees with significant heavy industrial controls and automation background will be considered.
• 4+ years of direct experience in industrial automation or process control, or a combination of education and experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and planning skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Rockwell, GE, and Emerson PLCs and HMIs preferred.
