About the position

The Senior Industrial Engineer at Sally Beauty Holdings plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of various processes within the domestic and international Distribution Networks. This hybrid position involves working two days a week at the Denton Support Center and focuses on optimizing the use of people, processes, and technology to achieve service excellence. The role encompasses project design, analysis, and the installation of warehouse technologies, as well as the development of quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop standards, time and motion studies, statistical analysis, and manpower planning to improve productivity and service level.
• Develop or improve work methods, processes, ergonomic workstation designs, and documented process methods.
• Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials, such as reorganizing workflow, relocating equipment, and restructuring job duties.
• Investigate problems, generate recommendations, and implement solutions using analytical tools.
• Participate in project meetings throughout the project lifecycle and make recommendations about project deployment in production.
• Generate QA reports and establish processes to meet or exceed QA standards.
• Support the development of testing strategies including vision, scope, model, and individual platform testing strategies within IT.
• Handle special projects related to business acquisitions, facility start-ups, international integration, and network consolidation.

Requirements

• BS in Industrial Engineering or related degree from an accredited school; a master's degree in engineering or business is a plus.
• 3-4 years' experience in a high volume Distribution Center Environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Experience with AutoCAD to develop facility layouts.
• Ability and willingness to travel to Distribution Centers both domestically and internationally.

Nice-to-haves

• Practical experience with a Warehouse Management System including inquiry and report writing.
• Excellent oral presentation skills in front of large warehouse groups.
• Strong written communication skills for financial and operational reports.
• Good working knowledge of classical IE techniques including methods improvement, time and motion study, process development, and warehousing concepts.
