About the position

The Senior Infant/Toddler Technical Assistance Specialist at the Child Care State Capacity Building Center is responsible for delivering training and technical assistance (T&TA) to Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) grantees and their partners. The role aims to enhance child care policies and practices to improve the quality, supply, and accessibility of infant and toddler care. The specialist will leverage their extensive experience in CCDF implementation and early care and education systems to support the unique needs of infants, toddlers, and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training and technical assistance to CCDF grantees and partners.
  • Support the development of TA materials and resources aligned with OCC's priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and partners through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Engage with states, territories, and Tribes to support their I/T systems of care goals.
  • Lead the development and delivery of individualized TA to CCDF grantees.
  • Facilitate peer learning groups and trainings focused on I/T systems of care.
  • Support data collection and stay updated on I/T research and best practices.
  • Track and document T&TA delivery according to established protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, public policy, public administration, or management.
  • 8+ years of experience in early childhood education, public policy, or management.
  • 8+ years of experience providing T&TA at the state level.
  • 5+ years of experience focusing on early childhood, I/T policies, and regulations.
  • 5+ years of experience with CCDF regulations and program implementation requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience developing T&TA content for child care leaders and providers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in early childhood education, public policy, public administration, or management.
  • Content knowledge on licensing and quality rating systems.
  • Experience working with multiple early childhood education partners.
  • Experience supporting CCDF program implementation at various levels.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
  • Experience with project management tools like Smartsheet.
