About the position

The Senior Influencer Strategist at Mekanism is a key leader within the Influencer team, responsible for developing and executing innovative influencer campaigns. This role requires a deep understanding of influencer platforms and a collaborative approach to strategy, focusing on earned, owned, and paid channel tactics. The strategist will leverage data and analytics to measure campaign performance and stay ahead of trends in the influencer marketing landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of influencer campaigns, contributing creative ideas and executing strategies.
  • Effectively communicate and sell influencer programs and campaigns to senior clients.
  • Stay updated on trends in the influencer marketing landscape and identify up-and-coming creators.
  • Cultivate relationships with influencers and build a strong network.
  • Assess and analyze influencer content for alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Leverage data and analytics tools to measure campaign performance and provide insights for future strategies.
  • Conduct research to identify potential influencers and competitor strategies.
  • Partner with Social Strategy leads to ensure cohesive social strategy across brands and campaigns.
  • Develop problem-solving skills to address challenges during influencer campaigns.
  • Assist in the analysis of KPIs and propose actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Source and identify talent by vertical in the influencer marketing space.
  • Foster relationships with influencers and their management teams.
  • Assist in negotiations and creation of contracts for influencer programs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients on influencer programs.
  • Track budgets and schedules to ensure timely and on-budget deliverables.
  • Plan influencer/brand events and manage logistics.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role (in-house, agency, or talent management firm).
  • Proven track record of building influencer campaigns that bring brands into new, culturally relevant spaces.
  • Strong knowledge of social media and internet culture, particularly Gen Z/youth culture and emerging digital platforms.
  • Ability to identify brand x creator alignment and emerging creative talent.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to pitching ideas.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with TikTok, Instagram, Discord, and Twitch.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools for campaign performance measurement.
