About the position

As a Senior InfoSec Site Reliability Engineer focusing on Identity and Access Management (IAM) at Aurora, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and availability of our InfoSec and Enterprise infrastructure services. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about building secure and reliable systems that support our self-driving technology initiatives. You will collaborate closely with engineering and security teams to design and support a variety of infrastructure solutions that are essential for our operations. In this role, you will manage and evolve our IAM platform, which is a hybrid of Software as a Service (SaaS) and internally developed systems. You will be responsible for developing and utilizing tooling and processes that facilitate the adoption of our IAM platform across various teams within the organization. Additionally, you will create and implement observability, metrics, alerting, and runbooks to ensure that our systems are monitored effectively and can respond to incidents promptly. You will also participate in the InfoSec Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) 24/7 on-call rotation, providing support for InfoSec services and ensuring that our security infrastructure remains robust and responsive to any challenges that may arise. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of security and reliability in our systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and support a variety of infrastructure solutions with the engineering and security teams.
  • Manage and evolve our identity and access management platform (a hybrid of SaaS and internally developed systems).
  • Develop and utilize tooling and processes to support and scale the adoption of our IAM platform with teams across the organization.
  • Create and implement observability, metrics, alerting, and runbooks.
  • Participate in the InfoSec SRE 24/7 on-call rotation supporting InfoSec services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in cloud, infrastructure, information security, or SRE roles with a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • Solid background in Cloud IAM concepts (AWS, GCP, or Google Workspace).
  • Experience with automation and tool development, preferably using Go or Python.
  • Experience with DevOps (CI/CD) concepts and tooling in the cloud with expertise in at least one infrastructure-as-code tool.
  • Strong change management skills including rollout planning, communication, and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
