About the position

The Senior Information Security Specialist at MRIGlobal plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's information security program. This senior-level position is responsible for all phases of the cybersecurity program, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client-specific requirements. The specialist will work independently and collaboratively, providing leadership and mentoring to the Information Security Team while focusing on preventing IT-based crimes and safeguarding the organization's information systems and assets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats.
• Lead incident response efforts, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery of security incidents.
• Monitor security systems and networks for signs of potential threats or breaches.
• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) systems to ensure secure access to information systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., RMF, NIST 800-53r5, NIST 800-171).
• Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
• Lead and manage security projects, including the implementation of new security tools and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience; or a high school diploma with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required to meet government security investigation requirements.
