About the position

The position involves leading the planning, design, and architecture development for the IT infrastructure team at enGen. The individual will create a blueprint for the network of systems and technological components, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role includes acting as a solution architect for complex projects, overseeing the IT landscape, and collaborating with stakeholders to assess the health of the IT estate. The position requires maintaining knowledge of emerging technologies and translating strategy into effective business cases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and design of IT architecture to meet team and business objectives.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in infrastructure roadmap planning and execution.
  • Design high-level system architectures and ensure integrity by connecting various stakeholder views.
  • Oversee an IT landscape covering data, network, hardware, software, and data center facilities.
  • Evaluate current technology requirements and assess new technologies in line with organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate with IT stakeholders to assess the health of the IT estate.
  • Provide strategic consultation to business customers in defining complex business processes and functions.
  • Facilitate the development of enterprise business solutions combining business processes and technology options.
  • Specify and design large or complex systems and ensure effective application of design standards and methods.
  • Review system designs to ensure appropriate technology selection and resource efficiency.
  • Identify and lead significant improvement programs to achieve measurable business benefits.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and manage expectations of customers and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • 5 years of experience in an IT discipline.
  • 5 years of experience in a Business discipline.
