About the position

The Senior Infrastructure Architect at Highmark Health plays a pivotal role in leading the planning, design, and architecture development for the IT infrastructure team. This position is responsible for creating a comprehensive blueprint of the network of systems and technological components within the organization. The architect will oversee the design of IT architecture that aligns with business objectives, ensuring the integrity of complex architectures and acting as a solution architect for significant projects. The role involves evaluating current technology requirements, assessing new technologies, and collaborating with IT stakeholders to enhance the health of the IT estate.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and architecture development for the IT infrastructure team.
• Create a blueprint of the architected network of systems and connected technological components.
• Act as a key stakeholder in infrastructure roadmap planning and execution.
• Design high-level system architectures including their components and relationships.
• Ensure integrity of complex architectures by connecting various stakeholder views and reconciling conflicting concerns.
• Act as a solution architect for highly visible and complex projects.
• Oversee an IT landscape covering data, network, hardware, software, and data center facilities.
• Evaluate current state technology requirements and assess new technologies in line with organizational strategy.
• Collaborate with IT stakeholders to assess the health of the IT estate.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT architecture and infrastructure design.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise business solutions and processes.
• Experience in leading complex projects and strategic consultation.
• Ability to evaluate and implement new technologies effectively.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
