About the position

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Infrastructure Engineer with a deep understanding of multi-cloud environments and automation to join our client, a global leader in the industry sector. This role involves architecting, deploying, and maintaining complex multi-cloud infrastructure solutions that power business operations worldwide. The engineer will leverage expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to lead the design and implementation of highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure, working closely with DevOps, development teams, and security experts.

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture and design of multi-cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies for managing and optimizing resources across multiple cloud platforms.
  • Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and CloudFormation.
  • Champion the adoption of DevOps best practices and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to track infrastructure performance across cloud environments.
  • Ensure robust security measures are integrated into infrastructure designs, including IAM, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering collaboration and driving team performance.
  • Work closely with development, operations, security, and business teams to ensure infrastructure solutions meet evolving business needs.
  • Take ownership of complex incidents and escalations related to infrastructure outages or performance issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with significant exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong hands-on experience with managing cloud resources and services across multiple cloud providers.
  • Proven experience with automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Expertise in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including network security, IAM, and data encryption.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and the ability to design and manage secure, scalable network architectures.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
