About the position

Infrastructure Developers at Thoughtworks play a crucial role in helping clients build and evolve systems that are essential for delivering and running software. They work collaboratively within diverse teams to find solutions that align with organizational needs, championing technical quality and effective working methods to achieve better outcomes. The role emphasizes understanding agile methodologies and DevOps as a collaborative mindset, ensuring that technical expectations are consistently met while driving improvements in infrastructure and applications.

Responsibilities

• Work within teams to launch projects through hands-on implementation and evaluate existing infrastructure to drive improvements.
• Explore client needs and collaborate on building a technical roadmap and impactful solutions that support ambitious business goals.
• Shape and build Thoughtworks' cloud and infrastructure practice through collaboration with practitioners, business development, marketing, and capabilities development teams.
• Ensure and build controls and processes for continuous delivery and evolution of infrastructure and applications, driving automation through all stages of the process.
• Monitor and ensure that technical expectations of deliverables are consistently met on projects.
• Provide expertise and guidance in DevOps, cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineering, both internally and at client sites.
• Establish trusting partnerships with a client's engineering leadership.
• Adjust and suggest innovative solutions to current constraints and business policies.

Requirements

• Advanced Spanish skills.
• Intermediate English desirable.
• Solid experience with GCP cloud and derived tools.
• Experience in designing and implementing enterprise and/or web-scale hosting platforms, and administering application servers, web servers, and databases.
• Deep understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation, and application hosting technologies.
• Experience working with software delivery teams and understanding of DevOps philosophies, Agile methods, and Infrastructure as Code.
• History of working with at least one IaaS cloud platform and two or more application runtime platforms including physical servers, virtual servers, container clusters, serverless, and databases.
• Ability to write scripts using at least one scripting language and build Linux servers, Windows servers, or container clusters.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools across different tech stacks.
• Experience with monitoring systems for availability, performance, or security.
• Understanding of security concerns, threats, and approaches for dealing with them, including infrastructure platform vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security, and software supply chain security.
