About the position

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Network Security) at Mathematica is responsible for overseeing the entire network infrastructure security technology stack, from design to delivery. This role involves working collaboratively within a team to enhance the security of local and wide area networks, ensuring they meet current and future requirements. The position requires a strong background in network security technologies and offers opportunities for professional growth in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support strategic plans for local and wide area network capacity.
• Develop and deploy methodologies for testing network performance and providing statistics and reports.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and documentation.
• Provide support for weekly meetings and committees, including Vulnerability and Risk Management meetings.
• Coordinate with teams, partners, vendors, and technical staff for architecture and support functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent training and work experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Cisco Network & Security implementation experience.
• Advanced experience managing and troubleshooting Network Security devices and tools.
• Experience in design and deployment of Cisco Wireless Lan Controllers and Identity Service Engine (ISE).
• Excellent knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies including BGP.
• Hands-on experience in designing, supporting, and configuring enterprise networking.

Nice-to-haves

• Technical knowledge of designing and supporting cloud networking environments (AWS, Direct Connect, VPC).
• Industry recognized Certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, CCIE.
