About the position
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and support of an organization's infrastructure systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments. A Senior Infrastructure Engineer must possess strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, helping to drive the organization's IT strategy forward.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant study is required.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing and managing Cisco networks in a healthcare environment.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VoIP, RADIUS, Routing, iSCSI and VLANs.
- Experience with various network operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
- Experience with network security protocols and compliance requirements, especially HIPAA.
- Experience designing, deploying and administering virtualization clusters (Citrix and/or VMware) in a shared storage environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals and IT teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is preferred.
