About the position

The Senior Infrastructure Networking Engineer at RTX Corporation is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and delivering advanced high-capacity systems that process modern communications. This role requires collaboration with top R&D professionals to create innovative solutions in the field of SIGINT, contributing to national security efforts. The position emphasizes teamwork, communication, and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and oversee the design, development, testing, and delivery of advanced high-capacity systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to generate ideas and make decisions that enhance product capabilities.
  • Create and present briefings to team members, customers, and management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in infrastructure/network engineering.
  • Experience with developing in Python or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with Linux, especially Red Hat based distributions.
  • Experience with system administration and enterprise-grade networking equipment (Cisco, Arista, Juniper).
  • Experience with virtualization technology (KVM, VMWare, Hyper-V).
  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).
  • Experience with configuration management systems (Puppet, Ansible, Salt).
  • Experience designing and setting up networks and data centers.
  • Experience verifying and validating software and systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret SCI security clearance required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with user interface development.
  • Experience with enterprise-grade storage equipment.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages.
  • Strong experience with Python or other scripting languages.
  • Basic understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and/or signal processing.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerized systems.
  • Experience with process improvement and automated system deployments.
  • Existing TS/SCI with Poly (active within the last 24 months).
