About the position

As a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer specializing in Data Protection at Prudential Financial, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our capabilities to address complex business challenges. Your primary focus will be on deploying innovative products, services, and experiences that provide improved telemetry and data to our Cyber Defense Partners. This position requires not only deep technical expertise and experience but also excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. You will be expected to adopt agile methodologies and maintain a continuous learning mindset in all your endeavors. In collaboration with your Tech Lead, Product Owner, and the rest of the team, you will design and enhance the overall technical architecture of Cyber Defense Visibility and Automation solutions. This includes working with technologies such as User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR). You will also explore the use of Generative AI to assist Cyber Defenders. Your responsibilities will encompass developing requirements, technical designs, and implementation strategies, ensuring that all deployments align with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) mentality focused on emerging architecture. The role demands a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical solutions in a manner that is accessible to a diverse audience. You will be part of a team that values your unique ideas and perspectives, contributing to a culture where your voice matters and your work has a meaningful impact on the organization and its customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and enhance the technical architecture of Cyber Defense Visibility and Automation solutions.
  • Develop requirements, technical designs, and implementation strategies for Cyber Defense solutions.
  • Collaborate with Tech Lead, Product Owner, and team members to ensure alignment with MVP mentality.
  • Investigate the use of Generative AI to assist Cyber Defenders.
  • Communicate complex technical solutions to a broad range of audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis.
  • Experience and/or knowledge with UEBA, SOAR, and SIEM technologies.
  • Understanding of Generative AI technologies in reference to Cyber Defense.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies.
  • Experience with Extended Detection and Response (XDR) technologies.
  • Experience with Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) technologies.
  • Experience with Service Now platform.
  • Experience in the Financial/Insurance industry.
