About the position

The Senior Innovation Project Manager at Henkel will oversee multiple complex innovation projects within the Automotive Components business unit in North America. This role focuses on launching the next generation of automotive adhesives, sealants, and coatings, while effectively leading cross-functional teams and managing project budgets and timelines. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate dynamic project developments, ensuring that all changes are tracked and reported accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple complex innovation projects for the Automotive Components business unit in North America.
  • Steer innovation projects to launch the next generation of Automotive Adhesives, Sealants, and Coatings.
  • Guide the project team through challenging dynamic developments and ensure that changes are properly tracked.
  • Effectively lead cross-functional teams, own results, and shape outcomes.
  • Create and align on project timing and financial plans.
  • Update and report on project progress and summarize the status of managed projects.
  • Prepare and present projects for decision meetings and reviews.
  • Manage project budget and relevant KPIs.
  • Identify risks and define countermeasures.
  • Guide team members to properly use project tools, templates, and deliverables and drive execution.
  • Meet with colleagues and customers at our plants and customer sites.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in Project Management or a related role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar.
  • Preferred Master's Degree.
  • A strong interest in the Automotive sector, and preferred experience within the industry.
  • Proven history of cross-functional team leadership and collaboration.
  • A great communicator who brings people together and helps them focus on the right targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project, etc.).
  • PMP (PMI) or equivalent certification is a plus.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $95,000.00 - $125,000.00.
  • Hybrid work model with 60% in-office requirement.
