About the position

The Senior Instructional Designer and Project Manager (.5 FTE) will develop instructional materials and enhance existing courses to support STEM education. This role involves collaboration with faculty to create course content, manage projects, and evaluate learning outcomes, contributing to a grant-funded initiative aimed at integrating character development into engineering and computing curricula across multiple institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop instructional materials and enhance existing courses for STEM education.
  • Collaborate with faculty to create instructional assets and course modules.
  • Design digital and non-digital course content and participate in curriculum development projects.
  • Perform course evaluations and measure learning outcomes.
  • Assist with project management and maintain project documentation.
  • Coordinate and participate in a Community of Inquiry with faculty from multiple institutions.
  • Create Open Educational Resources for the undergraduate STEM education community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or a similar field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Instructional Design and project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in instructional design or similar.
  • Experience in Higher Education.
  • Experience working with faculty in computing and/or engineering programs.
  • Experience with competency-based curricula.
  • Teaching experience.
