About the position

The Senior Instructional Designer position is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating enterprise-wide learning solutions that align with Prime's business objectives. This role requires collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create effective learning paths and curriculum content, utilizing sound instructional design principles and adult learning best practices. The designer will also act as a technical expert and liaison with various departments, ensuring that learning solutions have a measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement effective instructional materials and learning resources using the ADDIE model or other accepted instructional design processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends in instructional design, learning methodologies, and technology solutions.
  • Research current trends, tools, and techniques for content and curriculum design.
  • Create design standards and templates, integrating technology-based tools into the development process.
  • Evaluate the instructional effectiveness and business impact of programs, supporting continuous improvement of learning solutions.
  • Take ownership of larger scale learning and development initiatives.
  • Partner with internal customers to clarify business objectives and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Lead projects, negotiating project scope and timelines while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Communicate actively with stakeholders to ensure solutions have demonstrable business impact.
  • Support Talent Development in strategy execution and team working environment.

Requirements

  • Certification in training, development, learning, or performance improvement.
  • 5+ years of instructional design experience with a proven ability to create innovative content, including online programs and instructor materials.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design theory, and performance improvement models.
  • Experience with multimedia authoring, graphic creation tools, and learning management systems.
  • Effective interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to function independently and as a team member.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple complex projects in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Expert in Microsoft Products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with remote training using asynchronous meeting tools such as NetMeeting, Webex, or LiveMeeting.
