About the position

The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating enterprise-wide learning solutions that align with Prime's business objectives. This role requires collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create effective learning paths and curriculum content, utilizing sound instructional design principles and adult learning best practices. The position also involves acting as a technical expert and liaison with various departments, ensuring that learning solutions have a measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and evaluate instructional materials and learning resources using the ADDIE model or other accepted instructional design processes.
• Research current trends and tools in instructional design and learning technologies.
• Create design standards and templates, integrating technology-based tools into the development process.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and business impact of learning programs, supporting continuous improvement.
• Partner with internal customers to clarify business objectives and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
• Lead projects, negotiating project scope and timelines while meeting quality expectations.
• Communicate actively with stakeholders to ensure solutions demonstrate business impact.
• Support Talent Development in strategy execution and team collaboration.

Requirements

• Certification in training, development, learning, or performance improvement.
• 5+ years of instructional design experience with a proven ability to create innovative content, including online programs and instructor materials.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design models, and performance improvement models.
• Experience with multimedia authoring tools, graphic creation, and learning management systems.
• Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple complex projects.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with remote training using asynchronous meeting tools such as NetMeeting, Webex, or LiveMeeting.
