About the position

The position involves leading the design and development of interactive, engaging, and effective learning solutions, including e-learning courses, virtual instructor-led training (vILT), in-person instructor-led training (ILT), simulations, videos, and other multimedia resources. The role requires conducting thorough needs assessments to identify learning objectives, target audience characteristics, and performance gaps, ensuring that learning solutions align with business goals and learner needs. Collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders is essential to gather content and translate complex information into clear, concise, and compelling learning materials. Additionally, the position includes creating detailed storyboards, scripts, and prototypes, overseeing the production process, and staying current on emerging trends and best practices in instructional design and educational technology. Quality assurance, project management, and providing training and support to junior instructional designers are also key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of interactive learning solutions including e-learning courses, vILT, ILT, simulations, and videos.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify learning objectives and performance gaps.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to gather content and create learning materials.
  • Create detailed storyboards, scripts, and prototypes for learning solutions.
  • Oversee the production process with multimedia developers and graphic designers.
  • Stay current on trends in instructional design and educational technology.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of learning materials.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior instructional designers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in instructional design or e-learning development.
  • Advanced proficiency in instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Experience using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multimedia development tools and graphic design software.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM standards.
