The Senior Instructional Designer position is a critical role responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of curricula and training programs aimed at enhancing employee performance across various functions. This position involves conducting thorough needs assessments to identify training requirements, selecting appropriate instructional models, and creating engaging instructional content tailored to the needs of the audience. The Senior Instructional Designer will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop instructional materials and ensure that these programs are effectively implemented and evaluated for continuous improvement. In this role, the Senior Instructional Designer will collaborate with leadership teams and business SMEs to create clear learning objectives that align with business goals. The designer will be tasked with developing high-quality learning content, conducting reviews of training materials, and making necessary enhancements based on feedback from stakeholders. Staying current with the latest industry tools and processes is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously. The position also requires facilitating training sessions, both in-person and virtually, and maintaining accurate project tracking to ensure milestones and tasks are met. The Senior Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating comprehensive learning solutions that incorporate various delivery methods, including eLearning, video, simulations, and instructor-led training. Additionally, the designer will develop storyboards for eLearning design and implement evaluation plans to measure the business impact of training initiatives. This role not only demands strong instructional design skills but also the ability to mentor less experienced designers and foster collaboration among project participants.
