Your strong foundation in adult learning principles will be essential as you help build and maintain a thriving learning culture within Abt. Prior experience in developing curriculum for management, business development, and project management is strongly preferred. As a key member of our team, you will partner with various stakeholders within the Chief Growth Office (CGO), HR Business Partners, and additional teams to assess training needs and ensure that training outcomes are met. You will conduct needs analysis, develop learning solutions, and support the design and implementation of new programs that align with Abt's culture of a growth mindset. Your role will also involve delivering engaging training to diverse audiences, both in-person and online, and measuring the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and operational metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with various stakeholders within the Chief Growth Office (CGO), HR Business Partners, and additional teams to assess training needs, support learning opportunities, and ensure training outcomes are met.
  • Conduct needs analysis and use findings to develop learning solutions targeted to meet specific business development and growth outcomes.
  • Develop, enhance, deliver and/or support new enterprise business development training programs in various settings such as classroom, e-learning, and on-the-job.
  • Support the design and implementation of new programs that align with and/or advance Abt's culture of a growth mindset.
  • Establish project timelines and milestones and regularly communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Deliver and facilitate engaging training to diverse audiences in-person and online.
  • Develop pre and post assessments to measure learning outcomes and program effectiveness with operational metrics, performance change, and business impact; identify trends and patterns in data.
  • Prepare facilitator support materials (e.g., PowerPoint slides, leader/facilitator guides, learning activities, evaluation tools) and conduct 'train-the-trainer' sessions as needed to ensure effective delivery and engaging learning experiences.
  • Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to manage and deliver training programs.
  • Track issues and inquiries to help eliminate the risk of losing sight of issues or failing to resolve concerns in a timely manner.
  • Analyze data gathered through tracking and provide reports on the issues and resolutions faced to support continuous process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree +9 years of relevant experience, or Master's Degree +7 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Human Resources, Business, Computer Science, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 9 years of experience in varying business development roles, with at least 5 years in learning and development as an instructional designer, trainer and/or learning specialist, or similar.
  • Proven experience as a learning professional focused on business development, sales, and growth-focused curriculums.
  • Excellent project management, communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Proven experience and knowledge applying training and development principles and adult learning theory.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to perform in a team environment, collaborate with others, handle multiple projects, be flexible with change, and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint and MS Teams.
  • Instructional design skills, knowledge of ADDIE and/or SAM.
  • Working experience with Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate learning content authoring tools.
  • Working experience with learning management systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing curriculum for management, business development, and project management.
  • Familiarity with various training delivery methods, including e-learning and classroom settings.
