About the position

ResMed is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer who is passionate about creating engaging training content. This role will focus on designing, developing, and editing e-learning materials, which includes assessing learning needs and analyzing existing instructional materials. The Senior Instructional Designer will play a crucial role in developing new online learning materials and enhancing existing content to support CitusHealth software applications. This position requires collaboration with product experts and internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of accurate, high-quality e-learning materials. The ideal candidate will apply relevant adult learning principles to all instructional materials and will be responsible for coordinating quality control, proofreading, and distribution of courseware. Additionally, the role involves performing administrative duties in CitusHealth's learning management system, such as onboarding users, generating curriculum metrics, and managing learning tracks. The Senior Instructional Designer will also provide recommendations for content management and eLearning strategies to enhance user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and edit existing online learning materials and content.
• Perform audience analysis and develop appropriate learning objectives.
• Design and develop curricula, training materials, and teaching aids in support of CitusHealth software applications.
• Collaborate with product experts and internal stakeholders to understand product features and design accurate e-learning materials.
• Apply adult learning principles to all instructional materials.
• Coordinate and participate in quality control, proofreading, and distribution of courseware.
• Manage administrative duties in CitusHealth's learning management system, including onboarding users and generating curriculum metrics.
• Provide recommendations for content management and eLearning strategies to maximize efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in curriculum/education/instructional design.
• Minimum seven (7) years of technical writing experience, with at least four (4) years in instructional and web-based material design for software applications (ideally SaaS).
• Deep knowledge of adult learning theories, assessment and evaluation methods, and industry best practices in learning solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, analytical, organizational, collaborative, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Strong technical writing skills focused on the end-user learning experience.
• Knowledge of content authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate.
• Knowledge of LMS curriculum/course structure and administration.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of basic video/audio editing software, such as Camtasia.
• Knowledge of image editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience in the design and development of instructional materials for healthcare technology applications.
