About the position

The Senior Instructional Designer at Discovery Senior Living is responsible for creating innovative and engaging learning solutions across various formats, including face-to-face, online, and blended learning. This role involves utilizing advanced instructional design processes to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions that align with business needs and metrics. The Senior Instructional Designer will lead learning projects, manage timelines, and collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure effective training materials are developed.

Responsibilities

• Performs training needs analyses and makes recommendations for learning solutions.
• Serves as project manager for learning design and development projects, managing stakeholders and subject matter experts, timelines, and project update meetings.
• Designs and develops instructional curricula and course materials including participant and facilitator training guides, activities, job aids, and all other required materials.
• Develops interactive and engaging online and e-learning solutions utilizing learning authoring tools.
• Partners with subject matter experts, functional leaders, and Learning team peers to understand and translate policies, procedures, and systems into simple, understandable training and communications materials.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years' experience in instructional design and delivery.
• 5+ years' experience with learning authoring tools.
• Experience with Articulate Storyline required.
• 4+ years' experience managing learning design and development projects.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Certification in instructional design methodology required.
