About the position

ResMed is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to join our team in Peachtree Corners, GA. This role is pivotal in creating engaging and effective training content that supports our innovative healthcare technology solutions. The Senior Instructional Designer will focus on designing, developing, and editing e-learning content, which includes assessing learning needs and analyzing existing instructional materials. The ideal candidate will have a passion for instructional design and a strong understanding of adult learning principles, ensuring that all training materials are relevant and impactful. In this position, the Senior Instructional Designer will primarily develop new online learning materials and edit existing content. This involves performing audience analysis to create appropriate learning objectives and designing curricula, training materials, and teaching aids that support CitusHealth software applications. Collaboration is key, as the designer will work closely with product experts and internal stakeholders to understand product features and functionality, ensuring the delivery of accurate and high-quality e-learning materials. The role also includes coordinating quality control processes, proofreading, and distributing courseware. Administrative duties within CitusHealth's learning management system will be part of the responsibilities, including onboarding users, generating curriculum metrics, and managing learning tracks. The Senior Instructional Designer will provide recommendations for content management and eLearning strategies to enhance user experience and streamline processes for both internal and external users.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and edit existing online learning materials and content
• Perform audience analysis and develop appropriate learning objectives
• Design and develop curricula, training materials, and teaching aids in support of CitusHealth software applications
• Collaborate with product experts and internal stakeholders to understand product features and design accurate e-learning materials
• Apply relevant adult learning principles to all instructional material
• Coordinate and participate in quality control, proofreading, and distribution of courseware
• Perform administrative duties in CitusHealth's learning management system, including onboarding users and managing learning tracks
• Provide recommendations for content management and eLearning strategy to maximize efficiency and streamline user experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in curriculum/education/instructional design
• Minimum seven (7) years of technical writing experience
• At least four (4) years of experience in the design and development of instructional and web-based material for software applications (ideally SaaS)
• Deep knowledge of adult learning theories and industry best practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong technical writing skills focused on end-user learning experience
• Knowledge of content authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate
• Knowledge of LMS curriculum/course structure and administration
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of basic video/audio editing software, e.g., Camtasia
• Knowledge of image editing software, e.g., Adobe Photoshop
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in instructional design for healthcare technology applications
