About the position

The Senior Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) Specialist at DarkStar Intelligence is responsible for providing expert e-learning instructional systems design services. This role involves developing blended and online courseware tailored for virtual classroom environments, utilizing knowledge of educational principles and instructional design processes. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and is based in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Provide e-learning instructional systems design services to create blended and online courseware or templates for virtual classroom environments.
• Apply knowledge of educational principles, distance learning concepts, graphic design, and electronic teaching techniques to determine the most effective subject matter, goals, length, approach, and instructional media in accordance with customer requirements.
• Follow the ADDIE instructional systems design process to develop instructional/design plans, storyboards, and final e-learning products.
• Test courseware products in the learning management system (LMS) test environment.
• Utilize practical knowledge and expertise in tools such as Blackboard, Captivate, or other e-learning platforms and applications.
• Stay updated on current developments in learning management systems and adult education methodologies.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in instructional design
• Practical knowledge and expertise in instructional design processes and terminology
• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Learning/Andragogy, or a related field from an accredited institution (or extensive relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
• Demonstrated knowledge in learning theory, educational psychology, instructional design practices, educational evaluation, instructional product development, and the use of computers in education and training.
