About the position

The Instructional Systems Designer role at SAIC involves designing, planning, and developing technical training curricula tailored to meet specific training needs. This position requires analyzing learning needs and ensuring the sustainment of the curricula, utilizing various instructional methodologies and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop technical training curricula to meet specific training needs.
  • Analyze learning needs through validation processes.
  • Sustain and update existing curricula based on feedback and evaluation.
  • Utilize instructional systems design methodologies in course development.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of outcomes-based instruction and behavior modeling.
  • Create storyboards and evaluate course effectiveness.
  • Incorporate e-learning design principles and training development techniques.
  • Work with various technologies including computer support, video technology, and distance learning.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree in instructional systems design or equivalent field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of six years of related experience, or a Master's degree with four years of experience, or a PhD with no experience.
  • Experience in instructional systems design, learning theory, instructional methods, and educational evaluation.
  • Knowledge in course design and development using instructional systems design methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in e-learning design and training development.
  • Ability to work with state-of-the-art technologies in course and media design.
  • US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $80,001 - $120,000 based on experience.
