About the position

Our electric power generation clients are updating and replacing the power plant control systems with new digital control systems. This is expanding work in the Instrumentation and Controls Engineering group. In this role, you will be involved in major process controls engineering projects for upgrades and modifications to nuclear power plants. Your responsibilities will include working with digital systems such as PLC, DCS, touchscreen displays, network switches, and control systems. You will also be responsible for developing functional requirement and procurement specifications for instrumentation and control systems specifically tailored for nuclear power plants. Additionally, you will conduct process instrumentation replacement evaluation reports and prepare nuclear modification packages. Your expertise in mechatronics and control systems will be crucial as you work on systems for pumps, valves, heat exchangers, steam turbines, and reactors, all aimed at improving the functionality of the client's plant. You will attend client meetings and perform site walkdowns to ensure that the client is satisfied with our work product. Furthermore, you will provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced nuclear instrumentation and controls design engineers. This position is based on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office work three days per week.
