About the position
As an Insurance Defense Trial Attorney at Liberty Mutual, you will be part of a diverse team dedicated to delivering exceptional legal services. This role involves representing Liberty Mutual and its policyholders in complex civil litigation matters, managing the entire legal process from investigation to trial. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire legal process from investigation and discovery through trial preparation and court proceedings.
- Research applicable laws and develop legal strategies for all stages of litigation.
- Establish and maintain relationships with claims representatives and clients.
- Conduct training sessions for Legal, Claims, or other departments as needed.
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and opinions.
- Provide guidance and direction to junior attorneys, paralegals, or law clerks.
Requirements
- Membership in the Texas Bar.
- A minimum of eight years of successful complex commercial litigation experience as first chair.
- Experience in insurance defense strongly preferred.
- JD degree.

- Appropriate special licenses to practice before boards or federal courts preferred.
- Familiarity with the latest developments in the practice of law.
