About the position

As a Senior Insurance Product Analyst at GEICO, you will play a crucial role in the Commercial Auto Insurance Product Management team. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about solving complex analytical problems and are eager to contribute to the strategic direction of the company. You will be responsible for analyzing intricate business challenges and key performance metrics, understanding the underlying drivers of performance, and developing effective solutions to enhance business outcomes. In this role, you will be expected to develop, prepare, and interpret statistical analyses related to insurance sales, claims experience, and other critical business metrics. Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business problems and key performance measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Math, Statistics, Data/Business Analytics, or a relevant quantitative field.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Highly effective communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with data analysis software like R, SAS, Python, or Power BI.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a changing team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent priorities and provide accurate results.
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to ask insightful questions.
  • Effective time management, attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in auto insurance, with a preference for experience in Commercial Auto.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with pricing or product/state management analytical experience in the insurance industry.
