The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Integrated Product Team Manager - Microelectronics Manufacturing with complex, emerging microelectronics manufacturing and prototyping production management expertise to join our team in El Segundo, CA to support our Disruptive Networking and Computing organization. A successful candidate to this position is expert in managing complex, emerging microelectronics rapid prototype production. You are self-motivated, passionate, and driven to successfully meet technical, schedule, and cost goals while overcoming risks and issues. You will lead a talented, multi-skill engineering, quality, manufacturing, supplier and support team. You will utilize your past experience and knowledge to drive execution to plan, while offering insight, coaching and mentorship to other team members. You will manage the development of a cutting-edge microelectronics rapid prototyping facility, qualify it for manufacturing, partner with internal capabilities to staff it, and ensure it executes to program office manufacturing, quality, cost, and schedule targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse team of industrial, manufacturing, production, materials, process, survivability, and contamination engineering to finalize a production equipment, facility requirements, layout, design, CONOPs, and processes to meet prototype design and production rate requirements.
  • Partner with facilities leadership to endure facility design, construction, commissioning, and transition to operations according to cost and schedule commitments.
  • Partner with capability executives and senior managers and lead mid and first level managers in acquiring, managing, developing and motivating employees performing engineering, technical activities, quality, materials, and process in microelectronics manufacturing development and rapid prototyping production.
  • Implement and perform program management best practices to achieve manufacturing rate and cost targets while driving first time quality.
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes, as well as cost and schedule performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Work seamlessly across all Boeing Business Units and Functions, suppliers and customers.
  • Create communication material and content for organizational reviews and executive engagements.
  • Provide on-going feedback to organizational leaders and champion organizational initiatives.
  • Support Director in the management of IPTs in accordance with Boeing Values and Program Management Best Practices.
  • Develop and integrate high level product strategies, roadmaps and action plans.
  • Develop technical strategies, goals, objectives and related metrics to ensure alignment to organization's vision and strategy and resolve issues for future products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Program Management or IPT Leadership including cost, schedule and technical management.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting proposals (technical, cost, and schedule) with advanced microelectronics packaging content.
  • Experience with maturing developed technology into higher order products/capabilities.
  • Experience with schedule management, integration of all logistics elements, supplier communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met.
  • Experience articulating and implementing strategy-to-action plans.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with transitioning advanced microelectronics from R&D to production.
  • 10+ experience in technology maturation working with major subcontractor, advanced microelectronics design and fabrication companies.
  • Experience meeting technical, schedule, and cost goals while overcoming risks inherent in technology maturation development projects.
  • Experience utilizing lean principles to drive organizational change.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
