About the position

The Senior Integration and Test Engineer at Draper will play a crucial role in the Systems Integration and Test Division, focusing on the Strategic Systems and Electronic Systems business areas, with potential involvement in Space and Biotechnology sectors. This position requires a proactive approach to managing complex integration and testing challenges, ensuring high-quality deliverables while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assignments and guide others as needed, successfully leading tasks while tracking priorities, scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Derive plans, approaches, and procedures for solving complex integration and test problems across a program lifecycle, adapting to changes in requirements with limited direction.
  • Independently contribute high-quality content for technical reports and presentations, demonstrating an understanding of tasks and awareness of the intended audience.
  • Identify program/system-level technical risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies.
  • Actively mentor less experienced engineers and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Systems Engineering or a relevant role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Secret or higher security clearance.
  • Experience with qual/acceptance testing, EMI, GPS, vibration, shock, pressure, temperature, and optics characterization.
  • Experience automating and optimizing test infrastructure and processes.
  • Familiarity with DOORS, SysML, LabView, MATLAB, Linux OS, and/or Python.
