About the position

The Senior Intelligence Analyst at Amazon Security Threat Intelligence (ACTI) plays a crucial role in investigating and understanding security threats targeting Amazon and its subsidiaries. This position focuses on analyzing sensitive data and creating narratives that bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring that the organization is effectively addressing security challenges and driving towards its business goals. The role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance security resilience and share actionable cyber threat information.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of potential threats to Amazon, AWS, its subsidiaries, and customers.
  • Evaluate threats by collecting, manipulating, and analyzing data from multiple sources to identify security threats and develop counter-strategies.
  • Prepare written strategic reports and presentations based on research, collection, and analysis of intelligence data, ensuring assessments are free of bias.
  • Work effectively with a cross-functional team under tight deadlines.
  • Prepare and present oral and written reports on conclusions and recommendations drawn from data/information.
  • Lead and participate in collaborative working groups and initiatives in support of the assigned portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of relevant analytic experience or experience working in sector-specific intelligence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with open-source intelligence.
  • Experience working in collaborative environments, demonstrating strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience producing written documentation, including products, procedures, and instructions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field such as homeland security or intelligence.
  • Completion of FBI or other IC element advanced analytic writing and reviewing courses.
  • Experience drafting intelligence products following analytic tradecraft standards and style guides.
  • Experience with project planning, coordination, and execution.
