Snap Inc. is seeking a Senior Interface Designer to join our Product team in Los Angeles, California. The Product team is dedicated to using creativity, research, insights, and operational excellence to steer our product vision across Snap Inc. This team comprises Designers, Scientists, and Product Managers who work collaboratively to build innovative products and experiences that enhance Snap's advertising platform and user experiences. The Senior Interface Designer will play a crucial role in designing new and compelling ways to utilize Snapchat products across various devices that users engage with daily. In this role, you will own every aspect of the design process, from ideation and definition to exploration, execution, and iteration. You will be responsible for crafting solutions that not only drive business impact but also consider technical feasibility. Identifying the needs of Snapchatter users on new platforms will be essential, as you will define a roadmap for the product team. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with other designers at Snap, providing and receiving feedback on design decisions. Additionally, you will partner with user research to uncover opportunities for innovation and improvement, contributing to key areas of our design systems. The ideal candidate will be an expert communicator, capable of effectively conveying design visions through various mediums. You should possess the ability to prototype interactive experiences and think strategically about product direction. Strong visual design skills and a passion for interaction design are essential, along with a creative mindset that allows you to generate innovative ideas. A self-motivated attitude is necessary to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous work environment. You will also need to plan data-driven design experiments and conduct A/B tests to iteratively discover the best user experience, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and accountability toward the products you design.
