About the position

The Senior Interior Designer for the Justice+Civic team at DLR Group will lead design efforts from conception through construction administration, focusing on creating interior environments that enhance the human experience. This role involves client interactions, mentoring staff, and contributing to business development activities, all while ensuring excellence in public-sector design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop designs from conception through construction administration.
  • Lead project design efforts and client interactions.
  • Mentor staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Create and lead design vision and direction for design concepts.
  • Set vision and direction for material palettes.
  • Review and provide feedback to the team for development.
  • Contribute to the development of Construction Documents and specifications.
  • Direct and contribute to the development of Furniture packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or equivalent.
  • NCIDQ Certification.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Public-sector and/or Government design industry.
  • Proficient in the use of computer modeling and rendering software.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and time management skills.
