About the position

Chambers, one of the nation's leading Planning, Architecture, and Interior Design firms, is seeking a Senior Interior Designer with 7-15 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor or Master's degree in Interior Design and have proven experience with upscale hospitality or residential interiors. This role requires an ability to envision and enact design concepts that enhance experiences, ensuring that the designs not only meet aesthetic standards but also improve the overall user experience. The candidate must be fluent in AutoCAD, REVIT, or other BIM software, as well as the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills are essential for success in this position, along with a demonstrated ability in sketching, which is preferred. Additionally, NCIDQ certification is preferred, with an active record in good standing, and LEED accreditation is considered a plus. In this role, the Senior Interior Designer will work directly with the Director of Interior Design, serving as the lead designer and project manager on exclusive projects. Responsibilities include managing all project-related tasks, client meetings, coordination with operators, and purchasing. The designer will collaborate closely with clients, the in-house design team, architects, and consultants to ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned and executed effectively. The Senior Interior Designer will coordinate with the Director of Interior Design to generate project deliverables such as interior drawing sets, project schedules, and FF&E specifications. Furthermore, the designer will serve as a representative for clients, suppliers, vendors, and colleagues within the industry, maintaining a strong presence in professional organizations such as ASID, NCIDQ, and NEWH. Engaging with high-end private club clientele and other key stakeholders is also a critical aspect of this role.
