About the position

R. Higgins Interiors is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the interior design field and possess a strong knowledge of AutoCAD. This position is highly preferred for candidates based in Nashville, as it requires in-person collaboration and project management. The Senior Interior Designer will work closely with Principal Designers on various projects, assisting with all associated tasks to ensure successful project execution. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and following up with vendors, assisting with selections based on project scope, and creating schedules for vendors related to paint, drapery, wallpaper, and other materials. You will also be tasked with scheduling client and contractor meetings, creating proposals and orders for project items, and developing CAD drawings, including elevations, furniture plans, and space planning. Project management is a key aspect of this position, where you will price out selections, create client binders, and manage all documentation involved in the projects. Being prepared for all meetings and installations is crucial, as you will prepare pull sheets for the warehouse to ensure necessary items are delivered for installation. Additionally, you will be responsible for entering time and billing, checking client invoices for accuracy before release, and assisting with scheduling and attending market trips to Atlanta and High Point.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in interior design
  • Experienced knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Based in Nashville highly preferred
