About the position

Designblendz is seeking a highly motivated and NCIDQ certified Senior Interior Designer to lead and develop the growing Interior Design Department. This role involves overseeing interior design projects from concept to completion, managing client relationships, and promoting design excellence while embodying the company's core values of integrity, passion, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee interior design assignments from concept to completion with attention to detail.
• Manage and nurture existing client relationships while exploring new opportunities.
• Ensure clear and timely communication across project teams and with clients.
• Collaborate with leadership in preparing and presenting project proposals.
• Maintain and enhance the resource library by updating vendor contacts and materials.
• Act as an ambassador for Designblendz's portfolio, advocating for creativity and design excellence.
• Engage in business development activities, including marketing initiatives and attending conferences.
• Direct the creation and submission of design competitions or award entries.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of interior design principles and compliance with industry codes and standards.
• Proficiency in creating detailed schematic designs, design development, and construction documents.
• Working knowledge of Revit, as the office is Revit-based.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor an internal team.
• Proven experience managing design projects, including fee structures, team coordination, schedules, and budgets.
• Proactive and dynamic approach to problem solving with innovative solutions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of business development principles and financial measures.
