About the position

The Senior Internal Auditor at Penn State Health plays a crucial role in transforming the Internal Audit Function. This position involves conducting various auditing, advisory, and investigative projects while collaborating with management to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic vision. The role requires strong auditing, risk assessment, and interpersonal skills, and offers a hybrid work environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Conduct stand-alone or multiple audits across the organization, including project planning, risk assessment, and documentation of results.
• Work closely with Internal Audit Management to ensure audits are conducted on time and within budget, adhering to professional standards.
• Facilitate follow-up activities and monitor risk in collaboration with department and organizational management.
• Provide insights into organizational risk areas and participate in ongoing Risk Assessment processes.
• Serve on committees and provide training as appropriate.
• Assist in investigations and special projects as requested.

Requirements

• Must have at least one job-related certification (CPA, CIA, and/or CISA) or be working towards completion within one year of hire.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a relevant field.
• Minimum three years of relevant audit experience.
