About the position

As a Senior Internal Communications Specialist on the Global Communications team at Capital Group, you will play a pivotal role in bringing to life the company's strategy, mission, values, and culture. Your primary responsibility will be to produce creative and customized content for the Investment Group, effectively sharing strategic and operational messaging with internal audiences. This role is essential in connecting the Investment Group to the broader business, its leaders, and each other in an authentic, purposeful, and compelling manner. You will be expected to develop key messaging, talking points, and original content across various communication channels, ensuring that the voice and tone reflect the brand attributes of being principled, passionate, relatable, and forward-thinking. In this position, you will foster relationships with stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their strategies, objectives, and challenges. Your sound project management practices will hold you accountable for deadlines, allowing you to prioritize and adapt to the evolving needs of the business. You will be working in a hybrid environment, spending three days a week in the office, either in Los Angeles, CA, or New York City. This role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field, along with several years of experience as a writer, editor, or internal communications specialist. A strong portfolio showcasing your work for both domestic and global audiences is essential, as is a basic knowledge of the investment industry and a willingness to learn more about Capital Group's business and investment offerings.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a writer, editor, or internal communications specialist.
  • Strong portfolio of work showcasing content developed for domestic and global audiences.
  • Some knowledge of the investment industry and eagerness to learn about Capital Group's business and investment offerings.
  • Ability to project manage multiple projects and navigate differing opinions from reviewers.
  • Digital savvy with a good understanding of digital channels and effective writing for them.
