About the position

The Senior International Underwriter or International Managing Account Executive at Zurich NA is a pivotal role focused on underwriting and analyzing large casualty international business. This position requires a market-facing approach, with the expectation of being visible in the marketplace 25% of the time. The role is designed for experienced professionals who will manage new and renewal international accounts, develop agency and broker relationships, and ensure compliance with underwriting rules and regulations. The position can be filled at either the Senior or AVP level, depending on the candidate's experience and skill set.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, analyze, and generate new and renewal business.
• Engage in market-facing activities and production within the International Large Casualty division.
• Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating manual rules.
• Develop and maintain agency and broker relationships in the Midwest Region.
• Work within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area, or 10 or more years in Claims or Underwriting Support.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing, or 8 or more years in Claims or Underwriting Support.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience working under time constraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• For AVP level: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing, or 14 or more years in Claims or Underwriting Support.
