About the position

The Senior Inventory Planning Manager plays a crucial role in the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization, which is responsible for enabling the infrastructure that supports the growth of cloud services. This position focuses on capacity planning, hardware demand planning, and inventory buffer strategies to ensure optimal customer experience and cost efficiency. The role involves collaboration with various teams to translate business goals into actionable plans and provide feedback for future planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of buffer planning and conduct data analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Assess the current buffer planning process, identify limitations, and develop solutions to mitigate business risks.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand new business requirements and communicate solution options.
  • Partner with the Data Science team to enhance the buffer planning model for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop a plan to enhance the buffer planning process and coordinate implementation of improvements.
  • Support buffer-related inquiries from leadership and stakeholders to aid in decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of supply chain, inventory management, or sales operation experience, preferably in planning, cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, or channel management.
  • 2+ years of experience in tactical data analysis or tactical model development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Data analysis and visualization skills (SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Power Pivot, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in business presentation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, etc.).
  • Program management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in effective communication across multiple leadership levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous and fast-moving environment.
