About the position

The Community Development Finance (CDF) team at First-Citizens Bank & Trust Company is responsible for executing the Bank's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Community Benefits Plan (CBP) strategies. This hybrid role focuses on the asset and portfolio management of Community Development Finance Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) investment funds, ensuring effective tracking of fund performance and compliance with applicable regulations. The position plays a crucial role in supporting the Bank's commitment to affordable housing for low-income communities.

Responsibilities

• Leads the preparation of the Annual FCB CDF LIHTC Asset Management Report, reviewing industry trends and portfolio performance.
• Monitors and reviews post-closing changes to proprietary investments and coordinates updates with relationship managers.
• Provides guidance on escalated asset management issues and monitors restructuring plans for higher risk projects.
• Develops strategy for ongoing oversight and management of syndicator relationships and enforces department processes.
• Participates in meetings, trainings, and special projects as assigned by senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in LIHTC Investment Asset or Portfolio Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in LIHTC Investment Asset or Portfolio Management.
• Experience in Finance, Banking, Affordable Housing Development, or Public Policy/Planning.
• Skills in LIHTC Investment Asset Management and LIHTC credit training experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or Public Policy/Planning.
