About the position

The Senior Investor Relations Director at Holcim US will play a pivotal role in the Investor Relations team, focusing on external financial communications, earnings call preparation, investor outreach, and shareholder tracking. This position is essential for articulating Holcim's financial results, growth opportunities, and strategic initiatives to the investment community, thereby enhancing the company's reputation and shareholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both the buy and sell side, serving as a key point of contact for the investment community.
  • Articulate Holcim's story, financial results, and strategy to the investment community and internal stakeholders.
  • Review sell-side analyst notes for Holcim and peers.
  • Partner with Holcim's sustainability and decarbonization teams to effectively communicate to shareholders Holcim's journey on these topics.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of all investor relation initiatives and recommend new strategies/programs to broaden shareholder interest in Holcim.
  • Maintain an outstanding reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication with the analyst/investor community.
  • Follow-up calls with sell-side analysts and investors post earnings.
  • Manage a comprehensive investor outreach and targeting program, including investor roadshows and periodic investor days.
  • Participate in investor conferences and industry events to tell the Holcim story while engaging with current and prospective shareholders.
  • Create presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and conferences.
  • Monitor and engage the firm's shareholder base to identify changes in ownership and share key messages from shareholders with Holcim's senior management.
  • Review and comment on the quarterly and annual filings and other collateral materials with the Securities and Exchange Commission ensuring accuracy, quality, and enhancement of key messages and financial metrics.
  • Provide in-depth, comprehensive competitor performance analysis across the building materials sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of corporate finance or accounting experience in a publicly traded company or extensive experience in the investment community for a buy or sell side firm.
  • CFA designation is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong foundation in financial planning & analysis or financial modeling and a history of interpreting financial statements of a global listed company.
